ABOUT
Philip has been a professional photojournalist since 2016. He's had a hand in several award-winning newscasts and reports, and is a member of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA).
Originally from Philadelphia, PA - Philip attended Temple University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies & Production. He learned his craft at Temple University Television (TUTV) and is an alumni of Temple's student news program, Temple Update.
After graduating from Temple, Philip became a morning photojournalist for WBOC-TV in Salisbury, MD.
There, he learned the art of getting up before the crack of dawn, organizing and lighting live shots for Delmarva's News Leader.
A year later, he moved to the other side of the Chesapeake Bay, to Baltimore's WBFF, where he's been since 2017. There, Philip has learned from some of the best photojournalists in broadcast journalism. After attending the NPPA's News Video Workshop in 2018, he's won 4 regional Emmy awards and a regional Edward R. Murrow award.
In late 2022, Philip made the move from local news in Baltimore, to political coverage in DC. He now works as a staff photojournalist at Hearst Television's Washington News Bureau, turning daily, nationally relevant stories for every Hearst station across the US.
